I think that is clear at this point. They gave up 27 points to the Rams in the most important game of the season.

This is something that we have all been talking about all season. The defense needs to step up their game. We already knew that the offense could put up enough points to win a shootout. Our concern as fans was can the D ever prevent a shootout. That answer is clear. No.

First I don't want to hear anything like:

They were good the entire year and 1 game doesn't mean anything.

Or

It wasn't even 1 game. It was 8 minutes of 1 game when the game seemed to be well in hand and they let their guard down.

Or

It was really just 1 play by the D, an arguable PI call, and an onside kick.

I don't want to hear any of that the D isn't good enough. It is going to come down to the O like always.

Coming into this game everybody knew the O could put up 30+ point at will. We all knew that Alex could get the ball to Crabs or VD at will for about 100 yards a game. We knew that the O could score in the red zone so that meant nothing to us.

Basically what I am saying is that we all know that the Saints and Pack are teams with super defenses that we won't be able to score against. This Rams game was a test to see if the D could step up. They can't.

Some of you may say that it is better to look at a sample size of 15 games and 52 minutes of the 16th game and say that the D is good. Not me. I know that the last 8 minutes of that game is the real D.

I am not excited about the first playoff experience in 10 years. I am just pissed that I know the D is going to let us down again.

I am not overreacting. So anybody that wants to pout and whine and complain about this team please feel free to use this thread. Lets leave all of those suckers who are excited about this team to themselves. Those chumps who think that the D is historically good. Those jerks that think that a ball control offense that doesn't make mistakes can win in the playoffs. And especially those losers who actually cheer for Alex and hope he wins, or even think that he CAN win a playoff game. All of us in this thread know that he can't have the 3 best games of his career during this playoff run. Eli sure didn't do that during his Super Bowl run. Let us just come together and complain about the coaches, players and other fans.
