Jonathan Goodwin: Tactical Advantage?
I think so.
I was just browsing around the roster of the niners and it hit me, that we have a new center, who came from the New Orleans Saints. I'm curious as to how much help he has provided to Fangio and the defense in terms of knowing the tendencies, counts, and audible plays that Drew Brees might get into during the game. Also, being the anchor for the Saints the last couple of years, I think he would have a lot of information about the blocking schemes.
All of this is speculative, but since the playoffs are do-or-die, I wouldn't put it past our guys to squeeze every bit of information we can, to gain a tactical advantage.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

playbook built around this year so no benefit there & watching tape/scouts provides more advantage
I dont agree
Regardless of the playbook he would know the strength and weaknesses or the other people on the line he played with.
