What I find amazing
is that even though he is thought of as a person with a very even keel mentality he had such amazing passion.
When I read about him and he talks about the losses he seemed to feel like each one was a personal embarrassment. At first the pain of the losses was only topped by the pleasure of the wins. However, it seemed like at the end the more they won the more pain the losses caused. He hated losing more than he liked winning. I think that is true of many of the greats. What an awesome amazing guy. I love learning about him and seeing the way he approached life and coaching.
Joe, Jerry, Steve, and....Who is next?
Drew, nice post.
This season is for the Greatest Coach in the history of Football.
"The year we beat Miami in the Super Bowl, ... do you know how many defensive linemen were in our rotation? Nine, and we used them all quite a bit. We just wore the Dolphins out."

"That was very funny about the old man basketball skills. One is lucky to escape injury when playing against those crafty, crusty sumbitches. And it’s just demoralizing when they demonstrate yet again how to use the backboard from range." - Charlie Custer
