Candlestick Magic

For weeks we have been talking about the Niners players and coaches. We always have a debate on the play of one position or another. We Monday morning the calls of the coaching staff. Yet after all is said and done, we all agree that we love this team.

But wait, we have not given enough love to the girl that has been with us through it all, Candlestick Park. This year she has been tuff as any player. Only one loss on her grass and that was in overtime in week 2. Yes she has had her hiccups too, with power problems in her first nationally televised night game in years. Did that stop the old girl? No. Yesterday she pulled everything she had. From the electricity and atmosphere of her fans to the ghosts of our storied past, she gave us one more magical ending and a chance to go to the big game.

I love this stadium and I know we will all leave our hearts in her when they close the doors for the last time. But not yet, to quote Huey, the old one maybe barely breathing, but her heart, her heart is still beating.

Thanks for listening to me, give a little love to an old friend.
