The Grab. The Throw and Grab. The Catch III. Whatever you want to call it, this single play is what many are calling one of the biggest plays in San Francisco 49ers history. After the Saints pulled ahead 32-29 with 1:37 remaining, Alex Smith drove the 49ers down to the New Orleans 14 yard line. With only nine seconds left, Smith silenced his critics in one throw, completing a touchdown pass to Vernon Davis to win the game. Here's an NFL 2K5 version of The Catch III with audio courtesy of KNBR's Ted Robinson and Eric Davis. Keep in mind the latest roster update doesn't include some of the players in the actual game, but I tried my best to mimic the actual play. FYI: For those wondering, NFL 2K5 only allows you to set the clock in multiples of 5, which explains why the game clock is at :15 and not :14 like the actual play. Also, the latest roster update provided on nfl2k5rosters also didn't include Justin Peele, which is why he is not in the play as well.
