Golden Nuggets: One Day Out From Destiny
Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. We're a day away from an NFC Championship game being hosted at Candlestick Park. No, this isn't some outreach program by the NFL to give the Bay Area some playoff football, this is an actual, factual game featuring the actual, factual San Francisco 49ers. There's another team playing as well, but they suck so it's all good. Of course, I don't actually think this, but I am really confident heading into this matchup. There's really not much else to say about it ... let's get to the links for the day, folks.

Probably that the Niners were the better team all along.
Experts know they’re picking the upset, it just seems that most experts WANT the Giants to win rather than actually think they will. If you read the analysis it really boils down to “Eli Manning is unstoppable right now” and “the Giants have what it takes.” It’s pretty blatant east coast bias, but the actual football analysis really points to the Niners controlling this game. If/when they do, there will be no doubt as to why.
A couple days ago I actually watched as ESPN picked the Giants’ as the best defense playing this weekend.

the same as the Saints game
“if the game was played 10 times, the [X] would have won 8 times”
The game isn't played in your mind's eye. Stop telling me what you don't "see."

Uggghhhh...
That’s probably the most tired excuse people use when things don’t happen like they want them to or expected. It’s like they ignore the fact that the main reason why these games mean so much is that each team only gets one chance.
