Like breaking up with your girlfriend...
So folks, its done. Just like that. Seems like it was just yesterday when Harbaugh crushed Schwartz's hand in Detroit. What a crazy roller coaster ride of a season, and I enjoyed every moment with you guys here in this wonderful blog.
I write this, not with tears falling down my face, but a slight smile lingering. Deep down, I still feel the pain of the loss. Similar to the feeling of breaking up with your girlfriend. You can not help but reminisce all the wonderful moments and memories you two shared. That is me, in a nutshell. Went to school today, proudly wore my Niners shirt, with my head up, even when the buck toothed Raiders fans taunted me. Call it addiction, call it whatever, I love this team more than I'll ever love any team.
Honestly, I don't know why I wrote this post, maybe my way of expressing my feelings and unleashing my demons. I am grateful for this team for helping me have hope. Until the draft, weekends will no longer be the red and gold paradise I once imagined. They would be...simply boring. Next year should be fun, but I might want to calm down when watching the games, as it could be detrimental to my high school body.
GO NINERS!!!
P.S. Kyle Williams: I still love this kid, and would love to redeem himself next year by catching the game winning SB Touchdown. Just lay off the punts :)
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

Same
Unless the Superbowl comes next year. At which time I will for sure say.. " we should have been back to back champs "
I go back and forth
one minute I’m not really thinking about it, but then all of a sudden I’ll realize that this is it until next year and I get sad. It sucks, but just like ex-girlfriends eventually I’ll get past it. Small steps.
"Cruelty, It’s not giving another person what they want. That’s our mindset on defense, to go out and play with everything we have and not give the other team anything." -Patrick Willis
I keep telling everyone that this is how I always imagined it felt like when you got dumped by a long time GF
Its never happened to me. But I feel like my heart has been ripped out. Luckily every September it starts all over again. Ive only felt like this once and that was when Syracuse was the number 1 seed in the tourney 2 years ago and lost in the sweet 16 to Butler. Since then Syracuse has had great teams and is a favorite to win it all this year. Makes me completly forget about a few years ago. So that gives me hope that is the 49ers can comeback strong and get it next year the pain will go away
hard to stay mad at a fellow Niner

Ironically enough...my gf broke up with me when the game went into overtime!
I was gone for the past 4 days because I had National Guard duty. I got back Sunday and was able to catch both games (thank God…I think…) and the gf came over half way into the 3rd quarter. I could hardly pay any attention to her and we had dinner plans for after the game. The game went into overtime…she got pissed…got up and grabbed her shit and said it’s over between us!
Funny enough…the fact that we lost this game hurts A HELLUVA LOT worse than her leaving! Well…off to the bar now… $.25 wells and beer! I’ll find someone else…but there’ll never be another Super Bowl XLVI!
hahah why don’t women understand that football is quilvalent to breathing for them
