The Failure to Have Kendall Hunter more involved in the gameplan
Am I the only one who thought going into the game our 2 most explosive weapons were Davis and Hunter ? 4 rushes for 31 yards ? are U kidding me Greg Roman? And why was Dixon in at all when Hunter is the perfect weapon against the Giants D ? I was hoping that they would have Gore and Hunter in at the same time in flex formations to play fake, screen, or draw with. Some really wacky play calling in the game.

Kendall Hunter should've been back there returning punts
After Kyle Williams made the diving punt catch and the mistakes of calling fair catch too early and the bounce off the knee. Hunter returned kicks in college, he has experience. It was clear that Williams wasn’t comfortable back there before the OT mishap.
Reggie Smith would've been a better option than Hunter.
Hunter has no prior experience on punt returns, while Reg did at Oklahoma.

I thought that Hunter returned kicks in college
But sure, Reggie Smith, or even D. Walker. Williams clearly was rattled and wasn’t settled down and making sound decisions, calling fair catch with no one within 15 yards, diving to catch the ball to save 2-3 yards, and so on. The Coaches take some blame for not making a change after seeing this.
Dixon was in for short-yardage situations.
Not exactly what Hunter’s built for.

HUNTER WAS MORE OF AN IMPACT THAN GORE!
Kendall is an amazing back and he needs to be more involved, when he gets outside of the tackles he gets lost amongst everyone and is hard to tackle. I think he needs to get a lot more touches next year and he could even be the number 1 guy when frank is gone.
