Hop on the D. Bowe Bandwagon!
Okay now this guy is going to be a free agent this year. Can you imagine the 49ers going after him? Or do we stick with Crab, Morgan, and Williams and draft another one? I personally think we need to draft one and go get a proven free agent out on the market. We need some leadership at the wideout position. This guy could be the one who takes charge of that role for the niners.

That was one of the AFL 50th Anniversary games
Yes, the refs wore orange in the early days of the AFL. Actually thought they did a nice job with the unis that year for the original AFL clubs (especially the Chargers and Bills).
I jumped on as soon as the season ended
If we can’t get Bowe I’d like to see the team go after Vincent Jackson as well
Rule #1) If you hate Joe Buck, watch this www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkCSZKbyL94
Rule #2) Follow rule #1
what a great throw by Mat Cassel

Right, so why would this team take Bowe?

because he makes the catch when his QB makes a great throw
it would be a nice change

Even if we draft a receiver
We still need to sign a good experienced receiver like Bowe, Colston, V Jackson, Wayne etc.

Is a different QB throwing the ball? If not, I highly doubt he is interested. Two things matter to WR, IMO, money and who’s the QB. If you take a pay cut to be with a winner, that team has to have a QB.

I say Mohamed Sanu,Crabz, an Josh Morgan would work
Josh Morgan is the guy we need. Sad to ponder what 2011 would have been i we rested him in the Tampa game when we were up like 41-3. Horrible game mangement but Harbaugh early on. Bowe would be excllent too.
Morgan is an unknown coming off a season ending injury.
I’m about done with Crabtree. I really hope he isn’t any higher on the depth chart than a #3 WR.
That lineup might be better than what we had this year, but Sanu first has to fall to us (lot of people have Texans getting him), and second would have to play extremely well for that group to be a significant improvement over this year.
unknown because he broke his leg? staley broke his leg last year even played a quarter with it broken. aldon smith broke his leg in college. no issues about him being 100%
i am about done with this nonsense crabtree bashing

No nothing fans
At least the players and coaches know the truth about Crab.
"I put him up against any of the receivers in the league. I can attest to just how hard this man works every single day, and the people of San Francisco really need to appreciate that."

Crabtree is trash.
He isn’t physical. He drops balls and makes mental errors constantly. Gets no separation from defensive backs, and his work ethic is questionable.
If he got his s*** together he’d be a #2 WR at best in the league, and even then there are enough teams he’d be at #3 on the depth chart .
Morgan was putting together a nice year before he got hurt, but people are acting like he was breaking out. He wasn’t. He was playing marginally better than he did in 2010 and that was it. I like Morgan as much as the next guy but he really shouldn’t be anything other than a #3.
Exhibit A

Again, how do his teammates and coaches feel about him?
And you think know more than they do?
Ludicrous.

Because coaches are 100% never wrong about anything.
Never, ever, ever.
Ever think you might be up Crabtree’s butt so much because you’re a TT fan? Seems like blind fanboyism to me.
I have no reason to be biased for or against Crabtree as simply a 49er fan (with nothing for or against TT). I see him play every Sunday and I’m simply calling things like I see them.
He’s the best WR on the team right now, but that isn’t saying much at all. Rachal started every Sunday at RG for a while; doesn’t make him any good. Simply the best option that was present (or at least what the coaches thought was best). That’s perfectly adequate to describe Crabtree: simply the best option present. We could do so much better in the WR department than him it isn’t even funny.
settle down
Considering the team considers him one of their best blockers, I’d say there’s a certain element of physicality there. I think you’re overreacting in this.
by David Fucillo on Feb 3, 2012 5:23 PM PST up reply actions
I never said he was a bad blocker.
I mean he isn’t a physical receiver. You don’t ever see him up there fighting for balls against DBs or being a big redzone target. He’s decent at YAC and breaks a tackle every now and then, but he’s not good enough at it to overcome all his other faults.
At this point I’d trade good blocking from a receiver for one that’s actually a big playmaker in a heartbeat. We have receivers that can block, what we don’t have are dynamic playmakers on the outside. We haven’t had one since Terrell Owens left. And yes, sometimes I do overreact because, quite frankly, it’s frustrating that we haven’t had that true number 1 wideout for so long.
Like everybody else, I was stoked when we drafted Crabtree since I thought we were getting that playmaker; however, he’s been a series of disappointments and hasn’t shown me that he’ll ever be significantly better than an okay number 2 wideout at best. When someone comes in and says “hurr durr crabtree is awesome ur a hater herp derp” it aggravates me because they couldn’t be more wrong at this point. I know I’ll have to put up with him for another year or two, and I hope he surprises me beyond my wildest dreams, but I sure don’t see it happening. If it does, I’ll be the first person to eat crow and be happy to do it.
I mean, Darrius-Heyward Bey is arguably a better receiver at this point. It just amazes me how people aren’t harder on Crabtree.
free agency is before the draft
last year was an exception due to the lockout

great video
just want to point out that alex smith does not throw those kinds of passes
95% of alex smith passes are to receivers who are clearly open with very little chance of getting picked.

We all know you're a blind Alex Smith lover.
Pull your head out.

The catch 3,
VD wasn’t open when aleX threw it.
I would agree to the sentiment that Smith needs to take more chances.
I've been on for awhile now.
Only if it’s for a reasonable price, though. If not then go after Wright in the draft.
"It might be time to give Alex some credit, huh?" - Harbaugh
i like bowe...
BUT don’t feel like our Front Office is the type to go out and make ‘splash’ free agency moves like some others…would i like us to go after some big name WR’s in free agency?? OF COURSE….BUT realistically, do i see it happening?? NO….would be a big surprise to see though..
