OK, Now That Was a Defense
I hadn't seen this linked anywhere on NN and just read it myself a few days ago. This captures the Niners' defense better than anything I've read since the Championship game, and gives that unit some of the deserved due that would've come had they made the Super Bowl.

This just made me more depressed
A friend sent me this article last week and he said it made him feel a little better about the loss. Not me, I felt worse knowing that this was one of the better defenses the NFL has seen in the last 10-20 years and we still came up short in the NFC championship game. That defense never had the chance to be considered one of the greatest of all time by playing in, and possibly winning, the Super Bowl.
