Golden Nuggets: Where I'm Going Through 49ers Withdrawals
Big ups to Fooch for covering the Golden Nuggets for me the past couple days. As he said yesterday, the 49ers are just a couple days into the bye week, and I agree with him 100% when I say that I'm already very sick of it. It's great that the 49ers get some time off, and I do enjoy a weekend of mostly-stress-free football action, but I'm getting antsy. I'm essentially programmed to be ready for the draft (and out own Tre9er on Twitter does not help this) at this point in the season, so to further affirm that the 49ers are, in fact, in the playoffs and I'm not actually dreaming, I need some San Francisco football. Like now. Let's get to the linkage for the day.

What A Handsome Devil........
Did they ever win a game while Nike allowed him to wear “the suit”.
Agent Dunham....Walternate testified that in his universe, AleX Smith is a pro-bowl QB for the Saints, and broke Trent Dilfer's season record of 6000 yards passing. Walter....Thats nice, more LSD please.
I'm glad Williams has already been cleared.
It would have been nerve-wracking if that injury would have been up in the air up to next week and the team left with Ginn or Swain as the number 2. Kyle may not be a great WR, but he is the second best receiver on the team and having him out there makes a huge difference. Now to hope Ted gets back to full strength and Delanie finds a way to suit up for the game.

Opinions on OC replacement if Roman leaves?
I’m betting Geep Chryst and giving Rathman an outside shot.
These are the likeliest options I believe.
Harbaugh has an idea on how he wants the offense run and I very much doubt he would go after a big name who will want to make a bunch of changes. First off it wouldn’t be doing Alex Smith any favors, and secondly I don’t think a different offense would play to the team’s strengths. He could bring in someone else he knows, but I would bet against it being someone like McDaniels, Martz or another established guy.

whoever Harbaugh wants
He is the real OC.

If Roman takes off to Penn State.
I would think Harbaugh would hire someone within the organization. He needs people he can trust and someone who knows his playbook.
Other high profile OC bring their own playbook a byop if you will.

In other news...
Singletary’s job in Minnesota may be in jeopardy… Was he really the HC here? It seems now like merely the fragment of a passing nightmare.

Sounds like
somebody/s is trying to throw him under the bus. Am glad he’s someone else’s problem now, in an organizational way, nothing personal.
