Golden Nuggets: Bring On The Saints
Good morning everybody. It's a day later and we now know who the 49ers will play next Saturday at Candlestick Park. The New Orleans Saints overcame a slow first half en route to a dominating second half and now get a chance to take on our second seeded San Francisco 49ers.
As far as I'm concerned, all that really matters is winning the Super Bowl. If the 49ers had gotten lower seeds I certainly would not have complained. However, the 49ers will likely be looking at a run through the gauntlet to reach the Super Bowl. They will have to beat the Saints this Saturday, and then more than likely the Green Bay Packers the following week. A win is a win is a win in the postseason, but there is always a little something to be said for taking down the best teams in the postseason.

Niners gonna repay these saints for that preseason dibacle!
I see the niners making the saints pay when they blitz especially since they already seen thier blitz packages in an unimportant preseason game…. So I just want to say thank you payton for the insight on your scheme.

cant wait
There is no reason we can’t win this football game. We have the advantage in almost Every area except offense. Those receivers will be much slower on grass, so our db’s won’t be in a track meet all day.

Dear NFL
I am sick of seeing points taken away from a team due to an officials miscues. It is 2012, and hundreds of millions of viewers later. If yo are fixing these games you’ll lose in the end. I will walk. I left WWF when I was 11 years old once I learned it was rigged. I left my first girlfriend when I learned she cheated. You are no different. Us fans watch the games glued to the edges of our seats with total faith that our team can win fair and square. Please NFL, tell the officiating crew, Mike Perarra, Commissioner Gordon, and whoever else will listen.
Sincerely yours,
NFL fans everywhere
Commissioner Gordon?
I guess we better get Batman on the case then lol

Better run like hell
I expect Gore and Hunter to be getting loads of touches on Sunday, The Saints D is not that good against the run and gave up over 100 yards/game in the regular season. What happens when Gore gets over a 100 yards in a game? We win, What happens when the best Defense in the league meets one of the best Offences? Defense wins. The game-plan to defeat the Saints is basically what got us here: run the ball, keep Brees off the field, take the ball away and don’t let them run it at all.
My only concerns are that we don’t get into a shoot-out which we can’t win and that the Zebras don’t try to gift it to the Saints like they did in this game (they know full well that the NFL and TV wants a Green Bay vs NO Championship game).
and kick them to death
FGs may well be the deciding factor in this game and we need to win the Field-Position battle and make sure that whenever Brees does get the ball, he has a long field. With David Akers and Andy Lee punting we can do just that and it’s something we have been doing all season. So basically: just do what we have been doing all season and we should be fine.
It won't be the first time
the Niners have beaten a 5000+ yd QB in the playoffs….
We need the best run game this season.
Dominate them in the line of scrimmage, our OL should dominate.
Can't wait for J. Smith to drive Brees into the turf
right on his throwing shoulder and have Brees run straight to the locker room after he’s done rolling around in agony. Would love to see Payton’s bitch-move be repaid with the end of his franchise.
Gimme 1 round!

Actually, I Want A Cajun Shrimp Sandwich..........
J Smith on one side, A Smith on the other side, Brees in the middle.
Agent Dunham....Walternate testified that in his universe, AleX Smith is a pro-bowl QB for the Saints, and broke Trent Dilfer's season record of 6000 yards passing. Walter....Thats nice, more LSD please.
