2012 NFL Playoffs: Sports Bar Edition
Prior to the season we had a FanPost for folks to suggest sports bars in their locale for watching 49ers games. I've received some tweets over the last few days asking about more sports bar options, so I wanted to set this back up again for more discussion. This is set up as a FanPost so it will be around through the week, but I wanted to post it on the front page.
Here's how it works. If you are looking for a sports bar in your part of the country, post a comment. Then, if you have a suggestion for that person, reply to the comment. If you have a suggestion for your part of the country and nobody has asked, then go ahead and just post an independent comment.
Ideally, we'll be able to use this as a way to get folks together for a variety of viewing parties around the country. Everybody will be able to watch the game but there is something to be said for getting together with a group of fans.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

Driving up from the south for the game looking for some good post game bars in the city.....
we are staying close to fisherman’s warf
In case no one else recommends anything
My advice would be to head to Downtown SF area instead of trying to stick close to Fisherman’s Wharf. FW is too touristy, no local is going to be hanging out there on a Niners game day. To an extent downtown is too but there are way more options there, and it’s easy to get there from fisherman’s wharf. Looks like one of the fanposts that Fooch linked to has a list of some bars in the downtown area.
Win or lose, at the end of the day I'm just happy to see the Niners play well... Okay, winning is good. I prefer winning.

Lincoln, Nebraska
Brewsky’s on 70th and Van Dorn. There are a few 49ers fans, some die-hard (myself included) who will be there and always are for 49ers games.
We're as good as we play each week, no better, no worse.
Follow @Tre9er
Duffy's downtown in Lincoln
Is a great spot for a game when they have the TVs going out back in the beer garden…but maybe not in January…
Ultra-projectable
I feel like I want to rage. Right now.
I forgot you moved there
Was it painful around those parts after the Iowa loss? I know that game was painful enough to watch. I switched over to the Red Wings game after a bit.
I'm in love with a man. A man called Harbaugh. Does that make me gay? Am I gay for Harbaugh? You betcha!

Tampa Bay, Florida.
I live about 30 minutes from Tampa and I normally watch the games at Beef o’ Bradys or just watch parts of it on the Red Zone Channel. I don’t know of any other Niners fans in my area who watch the games.

Un-like last year, I am Not going to try and predict the record for 49ers! Just that we will win the NFC west this Year...
It's the Playoffs....my house becomes a Sports Bar.........

You can say that again
I’ve been through/to Salem a dozen times, and have never found a great spot.
Any Niners fans in London, UK?
Know where I can watch the game, with Gamepass blacked out and no Sky if anyone knows anywhere?
Sports Cafe, 30 Haymarket , Westminster

Some candidates, but no decisions from last post
I think one or two options came up last time. I think some people met at the Ram in U-Village, and then I think a bar was proposed in Shoreline. I live right by a new sports bar called Rookies in Columbia City, and when I went to watch a game there a couple weeks back, there seemed to be some Niner fans. However, at this point, we don’t have consensus. Anyone discover a place this season?
JERSEYS!
Usually the bars during the post season are vacant because the games are on at home. But I found 6-8 niners fans there on the rare chance I could get a sunday off to watch the game. It’s the place to go. The breakfast is horrible, well anything with eggs in it-don’t order. But they got amazing burgers.
Half the bar is starting to get niners, so head on up there and wear your gear. Probably gonna have to continue it next season. When I went there for the Rams/Niners week 16 game I was the only niners fan in there because it was on local TV.
But yeah, Jersey’s has a really good solid group of Niner’s fans.

North Seattle Covered
That’s the place I was thinking of, I just forgot the name. Sounds like there’s a place for all the North King/Snohomish county folk then. If anyone has a South Seattle/Downtown option, put it up!
I own a restaurant on Vashon Island near Seattle
If anyone would like to come watch the game here let me know!

I'm looking for a bar out in the Sunset area for this weekend
I usually camp out in Bernal Heights for game day, but I might be out way across in the other side of town by the time the Niners game starts. I’m guessing there might be a nice spot out around 9th and Irving but it’ll be packed with people.
Win or lose, at the end of the day I'm just happy to see the Niners play well... Okay, winning is good. I prefer winning.

Underdog
Or the Taco Shop or whatever they’re calling it now. Up at 19th and Irving, not a bad place, pretty good tacos.

After the game
Any suggestions where to go if the 49ers beat the Saints. SF is going to party all night!!!
Nashville, TN
Anyone else in the Music City? I generally hit the Crow’s Nest or the Corner Pub in Midtown. Let me know if there are any other Niner fans that hit up a bar for the games.

Anyone know where Niner fans watch games in the DC area? I know Town Tavern is the SF Giants bar, but I wasn’t sure if they did the Niners as well.

I'm told Town Tavern is also a Niners bar
At least I hope so, since it’s just two blocks from my apartment.
ok cool. Maybe I’ll see you there mirrorball.

Town Tavern is a 49ers bar
I just got an e-mail from the girl who runs the MeetUp Group at Town Tavern. She says that they will be open for the game and will be offering specials. “The official watch party will be upstairs, so just follow the red and gold decorations. New and old drink specials will be available. The sound system is fixed and ready to go. EVERY TV will be on the game. (That’s right, no flip-cuppers, we’ve got the whole floor to ourselves!)”
Personally, I’m too superstitious to be anywhere but Rumors (19th & M) on my special stool because each time I went out of town this year (including the game in Baltimore) the team lost. Yes, I know this is intellectually ridiculous but you can’t argue with superstition…
Would have been nice to know

Tuscaloosa, AL
Made my first trip to San Fran this year and was lucky enough to watch a Niners game at Lefty O’Douls…highlight of the trip. If your in Tuscaloosa you gotta go to Dreamland for food, and the Houndstooth for good beer and atmosphere
San Diego
Typhoon Saloon in PB is considered to be the Niners bar. It fills up fast though! If you want a seat, it’s wise to arrive 30 min prior to game time.
The Tap Room (right up the street on Garnet)…is also a great place to watch the game
by pjaugust on Jan 9, 2012 11:32 AM PST via mobile reply actions
San Diego
Typhoon Saloon in PB is the best place to watch the 9ers. Usually former players hang out here too, Gary Plummer was in 2 weeks ago! On a typical 49er sunday you can expect anywhere between 200-300 niner fans going absolutely crazy. I have been coming to the “Phoon” every sunday for the past 4 years…always a delight! Lets go 9ers!!!! clap clap —-clap clap clap!
I used to live in PB
That’s definitely the best place to go.
Grand Island?
And I thought I was isolated in Sioux Falls!

Anyone know a good place?
Plymouth, UK
Varsity sportsbar near the theatre.
New Orleans, unfortunately
I’ll be in enemy territory for the game because of work. Anyone know a bar where Bay Area fans hang out in NoLA? May have to watch it in the hotel bar unfortunately.
NOLA
I was in NOLA during the season and went to watch the game at Cooter Brown’s. There were a handful of 49er fans there, but be prepared.
HoustonTX
Where can I unite with my fellow 49ers in HoustonTX???

Anyone? The Internet tells me that the Red Brick Pub on the North Side has some 49ers fans at it. Might head there.
