I will keep my thoughts short and sweet so you can do a quick read through, as you have a zillion articles to read and a zillion more comments to monitor and reply to. I wrote a long post recently titled "DMZ of Ninersnation" which is my verson of TMZ. The post before that generated good and enthusiastic response, but the 2nd post failed to match the same energy that emanated from that first one, so I decided to put a little variety by writing shorter posts and include my thoughts. I am not an expert on NFL football but I am perceptive enough to offer a few thoughts of my own.
I believe regarding Brandon Jacob, he has not been around long enough to really know what Harbaugh expects of him, other than to get healthy and be ready when his number is called upon. What is going on, he has been eligible to play since last week, just over a week ago. In that time span, from Harbaugh's point of view jacob is not 100% game ready and to him, it has been only a week.
As a result, Jacob is sort of spouting off his mouth because the energy in him needs to be unleashed on the field, not spending time off the field and talking to the press.
Hopefully this gets resolved and the 49ers have a chance to test him on 3rd down and goal line situations to see what comes of it.
Otherwise the chemistry is sweet like a honeycomb and the beehive is not a good place to distract bees buzzing around. Jacob needs to have a taste of the honey but he needs the beekeeper to give him the green light.
Once Jacob tastes it, will be sweet.
But just right now it has a bittersweet taste because it is too early for him, and the press like a group of vultures, took the opportunity to feed off it.
Hope after Jacob reads the newspaper, he will just get back to work.
