Why does this 'Anonymous GM' sound awfully familiar?

I can't believe nobody here is talking about the inflammatory comments about the Lions by an anonymous rival GM.

Here's the link to the original article. Now there are re-tread articles on NFL.com, Yahoo! Sports, Grantland, CBC Sports, and elsewhere on the web.

Has nobody connected the dots? Don't worry, I did, and Mr. Anonymous is not so anonymous to me anymore.

Here's a few hints: he has been the Pro Football Weekly Executive of the Year fairly recently. He has spoken on the record with Dan Arkush, the article's author, before. He talks like a former scout, he doesn't have a lot of love lost for the Detroit Lions, and Matt Millen has a huge crush on him and his team.

Are any lightbulbs going off for you?

Well of course not! Don't be ridiculous!

Most of what the GM says is valid, but it kind of strikes me as cowardly to take pot-shots at a rival team in mid-season. But I guess that's what you feel emboldened to do when you vanquish a rival and likely won't have to face them again for a while.

Now, go ahead and do the Dance Of Joy!
