We break down the 49ers and Giants inactive lists.

The San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants have released their inactives for their Week 6 matchup, and as many expected, Hakeem Nicks is active for today's game. The Giants wide receiver hasn't played since WEek 2, but got in some practice this week.

For the 49ers, Brandon Jacobs is once again inactive. He got in a full week of practice, but will not get a chance to face his former team. Brandon Jacobs expressed some frustration earlier in the week, but he reportedly talked to Jim Harbaugh and they cleared the air.

The 49ers rookies remain inactive, while Ted Ginn Jr. will continue to get work in the return game. The 49ers have used Ginn as their punt returner, while Kyle WIlliams has handled the punt kick return duties. It seems likely to continue today.

49ers inactives: RB Brandon Jacobs, RB LaMichael James, WR A.J. Jenkins, G Joe Looney, QB Scott Tolzien, S Trenton Robinson, DT Ian WIlliams

Giants inactives: S Kenny Phillips, RB Andre Brown, DT Rocky Bernard, WR Jerrel Jernigan, DE Adewale Ojomo, OT James Brewer, TE Adrien Robinson
