Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell "hates the 49ers with a passion" -- Niners tackle Anthony Davis responds.
Early in the week, the talk between the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals has already been heating up. It began with Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell expressing his disdain for the 49ers on Movin' the Chains on Sirius XM radio.
Campbell on the 49ers:
"I got to make up for that this week, especially going up against the 49ers who I really hate with a passion. And I can't wait to go out there and stick it to ‘em. And Alex Smith, I've got him down a few times, I know he's thinking about me a little bit."
49ers right tackle Anthony Davis caught wind of this story via Pro Football Talk, and responded accordingly on Twitter.
😕 i love seeing human adult men panic lolRT @profootballtalk: Cardinals DE Campbell hates the 49ers "with a passion" wp.me/p14QSB-6afk

Davis was mature about the matter, even though Campbell did not shy from running his mouth. Davis has been known as a free spirit off the field, as one of the 49ers' bigger Twitter personalities. He hasn't had much a filter on the energetic social media platform, but he took the high road on Tuesday night.
It seems Davis has grown in all facets this year. He expressed no sour feelings towards Arizona, but jabbed playfully at Campbell's comments.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was just the beginning of a weeklong trash-talking seminar. The 49ers and Cardinals are NFC West rivals, in an up-and-coming division, and already did not like one another. San Francisco and Arizona will face off for the first time in 2012 on Week 8's presentation of Monday Night Football.
These are two very physical teams with first-rate defenses and proud players. This should once again be a slugfest - hopefully not literally.
