We break down the third quarter and provide an open thread for the fourth quarter.
The 49ers continue to roll through the Bills, taking a 24-3 lead into the fourth quarter. The 49ers started slow in the first quarter, and were tied at 3 early in the second quarter. However, something clicked and the 49ers offense caught fire. Strong defense played into it, but the offense has put together a fantastic performance since the early part of the second quarter. They took a 17-3 lead into the half and added another touchdown in the third quarter. The offense is currently driving with a chance to put this further out of reach.
The 49ers look just about set to improve to 4-1 and move into a first place tie with the Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks hold their own lead, but are in a dogfight with the Carolina Panthers. Whatever the case, the 49ers remain the team to beat in the NFC West. Next week they'll get a chance to make a bigger statement when they host their budding nemesis, the New York Giants. Next week should be rocking at the Stick!
