Hard to believe but due to the recently enjoyed successes of our fellow NFC West counterparts we are in the winning-est division of the NFL.

A very quick number crunching of the current standings shows the NFC West on top. Here is the list based on winning percentage.

NFC West = 70%

NFC North = 57%

NFC East = 52%

AFC North = 47%

AFC East = 45%

AFC South = 44%

NFC South = 42 %

AFC West = 36%

The thing that jumps out at me the most is obviously the gap in winning percentage between 1st and 2nd place. Of course there is a lot of football to be played, and some teams will inevitably find themselves with an easier or more difficult stretch of games that will change the order, however it is pleasantly surprising to see our much lamented division on top for a change. Wonder if the media will ever note how much we have changed?
