Alex Boone and Others...

The past two weeks I saw something that made me smile. Alex Boone was 20+ yards downfield knocking people around. Following after him was a slower but similarly active #76 Tony Davis. These playmakers are a novel sight for me. 49er linemen - way down field - WTF?!!! The change of culture in SF is remarkable. Everyone is getting in on the action. Contribute is the name of the game in Niner Town - or is it Ninerville? Oh, that's right - we're a Nation. It's sick to see these players so engaged - so prepared to go that extra mile. It might be EGO - even a lineman wants some facetime on the screen. Boone and Davis were running flat out to provide an extra Ooomph! to score again. I kept watching - sure enough - they were there whenever possible. The Kaepernick run was evidence how far and fast Boone can run - it also showed Kyle is destined to become the next Mike Vick unless he learns to put the ball AWAY! He fumbled in the endzone too. That must end. I'll wager we don't see that ball hanging in space again. The blocking around the field was stellar and it showed in the YAC. Just wanted to give props to the players who seldom get mentioned when they do their jobs well. Davis and Boone are coming into their own. Admit... you were asking yourself - what in the Hell is going on when the penalties began during the first quarter. The score coulda shoulda been higher were it not for a series of mental breakdowns. Two long pass plays were negated on penalties. Had those plays been positive - the stats for this day make NE's pale in comparison... Randy Moss - y'all know I have my man crush on Randy and he has lived up to the predictions I made before the season began. Coach conformed Moss' contributions this week. Trust me on this - Coach is saving the Moss Big Play for late in the season - or at some point when it is needed. If coach can save that long pass to Moss until the playoffs - he will save it. This coach is one smart MoFo. Everything... down to the cellular mytosis is practiced and planned in detail. Others may argue - but this coach is better than his brother, and tho' he would never disrespect his father - better than Dad too. Lil' Alex Smith - the player Jamie (Eat Me) Dukes called a manager - the player he derisively said only threw one TD pass a game - is coming of age. (Elite?) Each week Alex is improving. It is Alex Effing Smith who owns the 49er record for yards in a game. Alex Smith directed it - the TEAM made it happen. This TEAM will not be denied and Lil Alex is "MANAGING" this team quite well - Thank You! Favorite comment from this week - "the 49ers just beat you down. They are so much better, stronger, more focused and prepared to play. The number of players unable to play the game after facing the Niners is a stat worth noting... The 49ers wear a team down and take over." Are you buying in? Do you believe? Have you lost the hangover from 2002? WHOSE GOT IT BETTER THAN US
