We break down the 49ers and Bears inactives for Week 11 Monday Night Football.
As expected, quarterbacks Alex Smith and Jay Cutler are both inactive for Monday Night Football. The 49ers will roll with backup Colin Kaepernick and Scott Tolzien will be the primary backup QB. Tolzien is active for the first second time in his NFL career. The emergency QB after Kaepernick and Tolzien would likely be Kyle Williams, who filled that role last week.
The Bears will start veteran QB Jason Campbell and have former 49ers training camp QB Josh McCown as their backup. Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is active and will look to make his first impact since Week 5, when he had two catches for 20 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Marshall will likely Jason Campbell's primary target, but it will be interesting to see if the rookie Jeffery gets any big chances tonight.
49ers inactives: Alex Smith, Brandon Jacobs, A.J. Jenkins, LaMichael James, Joe Looney, Trenton Robinson, Ian Williams
Bears inactives: QB Jay Cutler, Shea McClellin, Edwin Williams, D.J. Moore, Matt Toeaina, Dane Sanzenbacher, Cheta Ozougwu.
