We break down the third quarter of 49ers-Bears, and open a thread for discussion.
The 49ers head into the fourth quarter leading the Chicago Bears 27-7. The 49ers put together a five play, 62-yard drive early in the third quarter to take a 27-0 lead. The defense appeared to have the Bears stopped on the next drive, but a penalty gave the Bears new life. The Bears capitalized as Jason Campbell connected with Brandon Marshall on a 13-yard touchdown pass.
The Bears are staggered, but with a quarter to play, another 49ers score would be a good thing. Jason Campbell threw a pick with 11 seconds left in the third quarter, so the 49ers are in prime position to add one more score early in the fourth quarter. And if the Bears continue trying to further establish the run, there might not be enough time in the world for the Bears. We'll see what the fourth quarter brings.
