My goodness, you got to check out LaMichael James' college career highlights as the running back for the Oregon Ducks. Probably one of the most impressive collegiate highlight reels I have ever seen. He was pretty elusive in college, he looked like Pee Wee baller Sam Gordon whom the entire Pee Wee league could not ever catch.

Now that one of my favorite 49er running backs Kendall Hunter is down with a sprained ankle, LaMichael James might see some time as a sidekick to our very own Frank Gore, the 49er all-time running back whose 49er rushing records could only be broken by a player like James.

We still have to wait and see how James performs depending how many times he gets the ball, but there might be a gold mine in James. If you have seen his highlight reels, and he plays up to 49er expectations, we will soon forget where Kendall Hunter came from!

Fans, do you all really think LaMichael James could soon be one of the most talked about running backs in the NFL, or will he be a bust?

Let us see...Quarterback Alex Smith got hurt, and we discovered (we knew but his time came) a gold mine in "Kap," Colin Kaepernick," who stepped in and produced highlight reels of his own.

I am hoping James does the same, and perhaps even more.
