Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

The NFL has announced when the divisional round matchups will take place, setting up the 49ers with a Saturday evening game.

Although the playoff picture is still being finalized on Sunday Night Football, the NFL has already announced times for the first two weekends. The 49ers will host their divisional round matchup at on Saturday, January 12 at 5:00 p.m. PT on FOX. Individual tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster on January 7 at 10:00 a.m. PT

The 49ers will face the highest remaining seed from the first round wild card matchups. If the Packers beat the Vikings, the 49ers would host Green Bay. If the Packers lose, the 49ers would host the winner of the matchup between the Seattle Seahawks matchup with the Dallas Cowboys or Washington Redskins (if GB loses).

Here is a rundown of the full first weekend and second weekend schedules:

The winners of the various divisional round matchups would meet up the following Sunday in the NFC and AFC Championship Games on FOX and CBS. The Super Bowl is two weeks after the conference championship games. The Pro Bowl is in between the conference title games and the Super Bowl. Let's hope we care even less about it than we normally do!
