R.I.P
one of the most underrated players in Niners history IMO.

I fucking hate cancer
Way too many wonderful people have passed way too early. Thanks, Freddie, for the memories. It was a pleasure watching you perform at such a high level.

God Bless Freddie
I will never forget Freddie in the bad old days. He was the only thing approximating a strong WR in the mid to late 70’s. Correct me if I am wrong, but I remember one game in Detroit in 1978 when he even QB’d a bit. A talented player.
Other memories. His post pattern in the 1983 NFC game against Washington, that put us right back in that game. His reverse in the 1981 NFC game against Dallas. Altogether, a great player, and he will be missed.
Rest in Peace, Freddie Solomon!
he played QB in college
Solomon accounted for 5,803 yards of total offense, then 16th all-time in the NCAA, while rushing for 3,299, then first among all-time college quarterbacks. After his senior season of 1974, Solomon finished 12th in the Heisman Trophy balloting and received 13 first-place votes, even while playing for a small-school program that finished 6-5.
pretty impressive and something I was unaware of.

One of those guys
who seem nameless down the road. We remember Clark for the catch, and we remember Montana for being, well Joe Montana. I’ll be honest, I had to look this guy up, I was young when he played. Glad I did. RIP Freddie.
Repeating something over and over doesn't make it true.
If Freddie could jump like Clark
We might remember him for the “Catch” as Joe overthrew him in the endzone on the previous play. Freddie was a key component of the Niners" initial success under Walsh..

Great memories watching Freddie Solomon
A true talent. A first class niner without a doubt.

Always will appreciate the effort that you put into this team.

RIP Freddie, never knew of your humanitarian work, you exemplified the game on and off the field, a true champion…
