Curious to see if any other die hard Niners fan still grieiving and pissed off about the NFC championship game feels the same way about what I saw last night. Jerry Rice was at Madison Square Garden last night in the celebrity row section. Thats Ok, I mean celebrity row at the Garden or Staples in LA for Jerry...makes sense he is the greatest WR of all time. What he did during the halftime celebrity spotlight interview absolutely made me cringe and feel like Jerry totally sold out his former Niners team. Of course first thing they asked Jerry about was Jeremy Lin on the Knicks and what a great story for sports...yadayada. Then came the all time stab in the back to Niners fans. The interviewer asks Jerry about what he thought about the Super Bowl. Jerry goes on to talk about how it was a tough game between two good teams, but then he does the unthinkable. He starts saying how his favorite player is Victor Cruz and he starts doing the Victor Cruz salsa dance, as a tribute according to Jerry. Ok - I get the whole Jerry and Dancing with the Starts thing and the fact he is in NYC, but didn't he watch the NFC championship game to see how Victor Cruz completely ripped our heart out especially those - what was it 20 passes in a row that he caught in the 2nd quarter. Coupled with the fact of hearing "Crruuuzzzz" after every catch in THE STICK. Wtaching Jerry talk up Victor Cruz and doing the salsa as a tribute made me really think Jerry sold out Niners fans hard. Guess its true what they say in some fans take certain losses harder than various players...as guess hearing the name "Victor Cruz" just doesn't make Jerry as sick as it does me.
