A moment ago, Adam Schefter reported via Twitter that "Former Oakland Raiders cornerback Stanford Routt reached an agreement with the Kansas City Chiefs" today. This is relevant to Niners nation because KC as we know has to decide whether to tag CB Brandon Carr or WR Dwayne Bowe. Given this bit of information, we might be inclined to believe that KC will let Carr walk and tag Bowe. This would eliminate a major player from free agency, and one that was likely on San Francisco's radar. Nothing is certain as of yet, but it's something to think about. Also, this is basically the first sign of the beginning of free agency. Teams can reach agreements with players but cannot officially sign them until the FA period begins on March 13th.
