Golden Nuggets: Bounties And Facebook

Stay connected for news and updates

Well, Friday ended up turning into a bit of a firestorm after word got out that the New Orleans Saints had developed a bounty program with knowledge reaching as high as the team's general manager. The repercussions of this one will last a while. I've got some additional thoughts coming later today on the impact the 49ers might feel from this (in a good way). Some folks on the new SB Nation YouTube Channel discussed their take on the situation.

One of the more randomly interesting links today is the 49ers.com post about their new Facebook timeline. For those not on Facebook, or not aware of the timeline, it allows a person or page to show history dating back to whenever. For an individual it can go back to when they were born (or really before I suppose). For the 49ers facebook page, it goes back to the start of the franchise and includes team pictures and all sorts of information dating back to the start of the franchise. It does an excellent job with the structure of the Facebook timeline. Check it out if you get a minute.
