This past weekend got off to a wild start with the Gregg Williams, New Orleans Saints bounty program news hitting the Internet Friday afternoon, but things quieted down for much of the rest of the weekend. Much of the football discussion centered on the bounty program, which is now expanding to include Williams' time with the Washington Redskins. I can't imagine this ending well at all for Gregg Williams.
However, news has started picking back up as we close to eight days until the start of NFL free agency. Drew Brees received the Saints exclusive franchise tag on Saturday. Then, last night saw Marshawn Lynch come to terms on a multi-year deal with the Seahawks, and Stevie Johnson start to close in on a deal with the Bills (more to come on that). This week should include free agency rumors popping up. The next eight days cannot go fast enough.
