According to league source Jason LaCanfora, veteran wide receiver Randy Moss will be working out for the New Orleans Saints Tuesday. This is yet another sign clearing up the free agent wide receiver landscape. It is also beneficial to 49ers fans who were hoping to get their hands on Marques Colston, or Robert Meachem. It shows us that they are ready to move forward at the receiver position with someone new. It is likely their attempt to catch that same lightening in a bottle that New England caught when they paired Moss with Tom Brady. Hopefully Colston heard the news and is anxious to start looking for a new home himself.
