Golden Nuggets: Peyton Manning And Wide Receivers

Stay connected for news and updates

Well, after a fairly quiet start to the day yesterday, things picked up once reports circulated that Peyton Manning and the Colts were going to part ways after 14 years together. This has dragged on for the last few months once it became more and more clear the team was going to draft Andrew Luck and move forward.

Where this gets particularly interesting now is the fact that once Peyton Manning is officially released (as expected today or tomorrow), he is immediately a free agent. He can start talking to teams immediately, as opposed to normal free agents who have to wait until March 13 to begin talking to teams. I would be surprised to see anything happen immediately, but anything is possible once Peyton hits the open market.
