SAN FRANCISCO, CA - JANUARY 14: Aldon Smith #99 of the San Francisco 49ers sacks quarterback Drew Brees #9 of the New Orleans Saints during the first quarter of the NFC Divisional playoff game at Candlestick Park on January 14, 2012 in San Francisco, California. With all that's been happening with the New Orleans Saints recently, in terms of the Bountygate Scandal and now the allegations against GM Mickey Loomis for Spygate 2.0, I had a desire to see the Saints get smacked in the mouth a bit. We all know that Gregg Williams had a specific dirty gameplan in mind to hurt the 49ers, but instead it looked like the Saints got beat up.
Below is a video from the NFC Divisional Playoff game at Candlestick Park where the top-ranked New Orleans offense led by Drew Brees came to San Francisco to take on the 49ers. The 49ers defense came out swinging and made plays for 60 minutes. They even had five takeaways in the first half.
The following video is a defensive summary of the game that day with real sound and no hype songs. It's simply a montage of one of the best defensive performances the 49ers put together in their terrific 2011 campaign.
