The NFL does what it can to hide specific salary numbers, but as with any news, there are sources willing to leak the information. Aaron Wilson, who tweets about all things NFL at @RavensInsider (and also Ravens specific content), has gotten access to the rookie wage scale numbers for 2012. The rookie wage scale has removed the issue of holdouts as teams are locked into a specific amount of money for the packages they agree to with rookies.
According to Wilson, the 49ers will have a first year pool of $4.02 million. They will then be allowed a total of $22.14 million for the seven rookie contracts they will figure out in the coming weeks and months. You can check out last year's rookie salary scale in Maiocco's breakdown. The undrafted rookies will get very basic contracts that are not a part of this pool.
For those who missed it earlier, here is the 49ers 2012 draft class:
1 (30) - A.J. Jenkins, WR, Illinois
2 (61) - LaMichael James, RB, Oregon
4 (117) - Joe Looney, OG, Wake Forest
5 (165) - Darius Fleming, OLB, Notre Dame
6 (180) - Trenton Robinson, FS, Michigan State
