Over the last two months, the United States Marine Corps has worked with SB Nation to develop a series of videos entitled "Core of Sports". The videos take parts of the Marine Corps' warrior ethos and consider it in the context of sports.

Vernon Davis joined in this project and is arguably the highest profile athlete to take part. Matt Ufford, a former Marine, provided a few comments leading into the video. The video itself is an intense piece. While Davis enjoys himself on the field, he definitely plays the game with a passion. We'll see where that passion takes him in 2012.
