In case you forgot, today is the Indianapolis 500. The race gets going at 9am PT, and the 49ers have a rooting interest in the form of J.R. Hildebrand. The Sausalito native grew up a 49ers fan and now races for Panther Racing, which is partially owned by 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Last year, Hildebrand made a brief appearance at 49ers training camp to meet Coach Harbaugh. Although he races for Harbaugh's team, Hildebrand apparently had not met him prior to 2011 training camp. While there he had a chance to meet some players and had a classic line about Patrick Willis.
