Mike Wallace & 15 Mil /Yr V.S. A.J. Jenkins

During the off-season there was plenty of talk about the 49Er's giving up their first round pick and with it a boatload of cash for current Pittsburgh Steeler Mike Wallace. Being that our WR is our second biggest need (Sorry Alex), It only made sense that we go after a Top-10 WR like Mike Wallace. Now with the talk going around about A.J. Jenkins do you think the Front Office made a good decision about passing on Mike Wallace?

Personally I don't know if all the Hoopla surrounding A.J. Jenkins is true or false but I'm sorta inclined to think it's true. I would love for A.J. Jenkins to prove all the naysayers wrong and take the intense training regiment that Jerry Rice could give him and the route running skills, catching ability, etc. that Randy Moss could give him and become something that no one imagined.

Meanwhile back on Planet Earth I think that Mike Wallace would have been a better route. I think the 49ers time is now and should get down to business now and not in a few years. Mike Wallace would come in and...whew...just the thought. Our Offense...Top 5, Our Defense....Number 1, Special Teams... Number 1, Coaching...Number 1. It would have made a perfect storm.

What do you think?
