first Niner game in US at stick - any advice

Hi guys - I'm a Brit niner(despite my screen name) planning my first trip to san Francisco to see the Niners at the stick before they move to Santa Clara. It'll be the thursday night game against the seahawks

Bought my ticke(just discovered stub hub)t and booked my hotel today so its getting really real ,real quick(bad harbs paraphrase sorry)-sort of means I CANT WAIT!

Also i'd be really grateful if anyone can offer any advice on places to eat and drink before the game(beer and wings mmm-vital)or even good restaurants around town for that matter? Do the 49ers or even better niner nation have tailgates organised that are open?do you tailgate at all on night games(probably not)?whats the best way to get to and from the stadium etc?In fact, any information that you think may help a visiting simpleton that knows nothing.

if any other niners are travelling from my part of the world for this one(maybe a bit unlikely but you never know),it might be a good idea to meet up for a pint and talk niners and how to survive in a strange city.

As for me, I am highly skilled at drinking cold beer and would be willing to assist any fellow niners if help is needed..
