The 49ers announced earlier this offseason that none of their Santa Clara practices would be open to the public due to construction at the new stadium next door. However, the team will hold an open practice at Candlestick Park on August 12 during their annual FanFest event. Fans will be able to sign up for tickets starting this Thursday. Tickets will be $5 with all proceeds will benefit the 49ers Foundation.
I don't know how quickly tickets will sell, but I have to think there will be quite a bit of demand giving the big 2011 season, lack of other practices in 2012 and hype for the coming season.
