Hello from Michigan!
As a lifelong 49ers fan who grew up in the days of Montana and Rice, I'm finally taking the trip out West to catch a game at Candlestick Park. It may turn out to the be the last trip as well, since the new stadium will be up in the near future.
The trip itself is a birthday present for my younger brother, who is a diehard Lions fan (hey, nobody's perfect). So we're headed out to see the 49ers-Lions game on September 16th, and right now I'm torn between seating options. I've read a ton of firsthand advice, tried to check out the seat view from different spots, but I need a little more help.
Right now we're looking Stubhub tickets in either Lower Reserved Section 1, Row 1, or picking something in the Upper Box or Reserved that will give us a better view of the whole field. I guess my question is for anyone who might have had similar seats in the past... which did you find more enjoyable? I like the idea of being close in the Lower Reserved, but seeing the whole field has it's major benefits in terms of following the action a little better.
Thanks in advance for any help! I read the thread a few down from DubNiner and got some great ideas for places to while we're out there as well.. as this will be my first time to SF in general!
