This really is as awkward as it sounds. Thanks to thuglife for putting together a FanShot with this because I otherwise would never have stumbled across something so incredibly awesomely awkward.

This guy apparently wrote a poem for former 49ers tight end Brent Jones and got an opportunity to read it to him at an autograph signing Jones took part in at a Sports Authority. I don't know how long it took the fan to write the post, but it was actually a pretty solid poem, with rhyming and everything. Someone on Twitter suggested it was "The Genius" Lanny Poffo, but I think the guy was too small.

My favorite part was where one of the PR handlers tells the guy to wrap it up, and the guy goes on for another minute and a half. Throughout it all, Brent Jones seemed to handle this like a champ. I might have run screaming at some point. Video posted after the jump.
