Holy $CH!TT what a difference a year makes!!! Simply typing the headline for this FanPost makes me want to "go tell it on the mountain."
After a decade of sitting on the sidelines in January, our boys went out and made it happen last season. As I mentioned in my fanPost earlier this week, I believe that there were so many great things done by so many people it's difficult to cite them all.
The one theme that keeps recurring in my mind, on NinersNation, and in discussions with other football fans is the value of coaching. Our 2011 squad was, in large part, the same group of guys that Mike Singletary had during his tenure. But something is clearly different under Coach Jim Harbaugh.
After the jump, I get to the point....
Our San Francisco 49ers are ranked #3 on the NFL.com Power Rankings List!
WHAAAAT?! Let me say that again, friends: Our San Francisco 49ers are ranked #3 on the NFL.com Power Rankings List!
I can't remember how high we climbed last year but, if memory serves, we peaked somewhere around #14. Forget the 13-3 record, an 8-game winning streak, beating darling East Coast teams like the Philadelphia Eagles or crushing the playoff dreams for the New Orleans Saints!
For the record - I don't put a ton of weight into these rankings, but I am certainly excited to see our boys getting the respect they deserve.
Good on ya' Harbaugh n clan.
