Ok, this idea started today when I was listening to the ESPN Football Today podcast and they interviewed the one and only Barry Sanders. I quickly realized that whenever I hear his name I get all pumped up...it's so sad he retired before he should've...in my opinion. He is the one running back who could turn nothing into an 80 yard high light reel. Those Detroit teams he had to suffer thru really didn't help out his career. I always imagine what he would've done behind the 90's Dallas Cowboys offensive line and not to mention Aikman/Irvin/Novacek...just wow.

I'm also excited to see Barry Sanders Jr. play for Stanford, it would be amazing to have a second coming of his father. Anyone know how's he's looked for them?

I thought it would be a fun idea to hear what other non-49ers players of past or present get fans pumped up about how they used to play or maybe just football in general. Discuss!
