The game this weekend carries two potential outcomes; and a third I'll discuss last. The Chiefs and Giants gave the game plan to beat the Packers - stifling defense that hurries Rodgers. Their defense is unproven. Losing that game would not be the worst. There's an upsides to early losses so long as the team responds properly. The Dallas loss last year was a disappointing "positive". It is an oxymoron, but valid. Winning may bring early over confidence. Whereas a loss sharpens focus. A loss prompts anger and self examination - WTF? I can see positives in an away loss early. The third outcome is one where a dominate team emerges. Suppose the offense was holding back during the pre-season and have sharpened their game and planning. Imagine the defense has improved. If that team takes the field - losing will not be an option. Only mistakes, beating themselves will bring a loss.
