Week 3 game day is here! The 49ers are in Minnesota for a 10am PT kickoff against the Minnesota Vikings. The 49ers are sitting at 2-0 and look to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 1998. They face a 1-1 Vikings squad that is young and building, but still quite dangerous. Christian Ponder is showing positive growth, and Adrian Peterson appears as good as ever following an offseason rehabbing from ACL surgery. The 49ers are touchdown-plus favorites, but this is no gimme.
Unfortunately today marks the first week where the 49ers will not be broadcast in a majority of the country. It will be available through most of the West, Northwest and North, but not in most of the rest of the country. I get to trek over to a sports bar here in Arlington (Crystal City Sports Pub) to check it out. I watched the 49ers-Broncos preseason game there and the wifi worked fairly well, so, fingers crossed! If you are looking for a plus, check our Sports Bar thread, and drop a comment in there if you don't find anything.
Just to give you a heads-up of how today will run, we'll have an inactive post at approximately 8:30am PT, the first of probably four 49ers-Vikings game thread up at approximately 9:45 PT, and then we'll also have game threads for the afternoon and Sunday Night Football. And of course plenty of post-game coverage as well. Let's hope it is happy coverage.

49ers Vs. Vikings Odds
The 49ers opened as six point favorites and the line currently sits anywhere between 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 points. If the 49ers do not cover that spread I will be disappointed. I'd like to see a fairly thorough win in the double digit range, but sometimes you never can tell on the road. This is a chance for the 49ers to send a different kind of message. Go in, handle their business, move on to Week 4. Pretty simple, really.
