Gridiron Grunts is an app that allows NFL players to "grunt out" their thoughts in relatively quick soundbites. It is sort of like an alternative to Twitter and every other social media application out there. The application is used by a fairly sizable roster of NFL players. They have been working with SB Nation to help spread the word about these grunts.
Turns out, 49ers safety Dashon Goldson is involved in the project. I've posted video above of his "grunt" about the Monday Night Football ref controversy. He shot this earlier in the week from Youngstown, Ohio before the NFL and their referees came to terms on a new deal.
NaVorro Bowman and Joe Staley are supposed to be involved in this as well, so I'll keep an eye out for some of their video. It's short and simple, but it is a chance to get some quick reaction directly from the players.
