Harbaugh: Brandon Jacobs, Ted Ginn Questionable And Will Travel With Team

Stay connected for news and updates

49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh met with the media this afternoon as the team wrapped up practice and prepared for their trip to Green Bay for Sunday's monster Week 1 showdown. It was a fairly low key affair, although he did seem to get perturbed by someone's question ("Why do you keep asking that?"). Update: According to Cam Inman, it was a question about Kyle Williams and his fumble issues.

The one moderately useful bit of news is that running back Brandon Jacobs and wide receiver/returner Ted Ginn Jr. will both be listed as questionable. Both will fly with the team, giving the team 48 hours to see if they can get healthy quickly. I would imagine the 49ers will not see them playing, even with the players traveling. Anything is possible, but with no practice time and given the injuries involved, a few more days of rest are likely just what the doctor would order.

The upside to this is that these are the only two on the 49ers injury report. The Parys Haralson news earlier this week didn't help matters, but otherwise, the 49ers head into the season in good shape. We'll see how they come out on Monday.
