The San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers each released their inactive list for this afternoon's huge showdown at Lambeau Field. Here is a quick rundown for each team.
49ers Inactives: TE Garrett Celek, WR Ted Ginn Jr., RB Brandon Jacobs, RB LaMichael James, G Joe Looney, QB Scott Tolzien, NT Ian Williams
Packers Inactives: WR Jarrett Boykin, S Sean Richardson, CB Davon House, CB Brandian Ross, RB James Starks, LB Jamari Lattimore, DE Mike Daniels.
The 49ers decision to deactivate LaMichael James would seem to mean Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter will handle most of the rushing load, but I suspect we'll see a little bit of Anthony Dixon as well. I'm curious about plenty of things in this game, but one of the biggest is how many touches Kendall Hunter gets right out of the gate. He looked sharp in preseason, but Frank Gore does remain the lead back. This first game could tell us a lot.
