We break down the 49ers and Packers inactive reports for their NFC Divisional Round matchup.

The 49ers and Packers released their inactive reports for their divisional round matchup, and as expected, Justin Smith is active. The more intriguing news is that kicker Billy Cundiff is inactive. Neither is a surprise, but they are still notable.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh announced on Thursday that David Akers would handle kicking duties for today's game, but he had left the door open for Cundiff to potentially be active as well. That is not the case as the 49ers will sit him.

I am a little bit surprised that the team did not go with another active defensive lineman to provide some additional depth. Justin Smith has been dealing with his partially torn triceps muscle, but he is going to gut through today's game. Will Tukuafu is back on the active list after missing a couple weeks, so he and Ricky Jean Francois will be the defensive line depth.

49ers inactives: K Billy Cundiff, RB Jewel Hampton, DT Tony Jerod-Eddie G Joe Looney, S Trenton Robinson, QB Scott Tolzien, DT Ian Williams

Packers inactives: WR Jarrett Boykin, RB Alex Green, CB Davon House, DT Jordan Miller, TE D.J. Williams, DE Jerel Worthy, LB Frank Zombo
