The 49ers and Packers head into the second quarter of their NFC divisional round matchup with the Packers leading 14-7 after an eventful first quarter. The Packers offense did not spend much time on the field, but they made it count on their final drive of the quarter.
The 49ers won the toss and elected to receive, and Colin Kaepernick got off to a rough start. Two minutes into the game he threw a pick-six to Sam Shields, giving the Packers a 7-0 lead. Fortunately, Kaepernick showed his ability to bounce back on the next drive. Kaepernick led the 49ers 80 yards on 8 plays in only 3:47, capping the drive with a 20-yard scramble into the end zone.
The Packers wrapped up the first quarter with their own quick-paced score, scoring in only 2:44 to take the 14-7 lead. Aaron Rodgers connected with James Jones on a 44-yard pass to set up an 18-yard touchdown run by DuJuan Harris.
The 49ers have the ball to start the second quarter.
