A look at the 49er's offseason

We are not even done with the postseason so this is a bit early but I hope to keep this updated. Below is information as to what we might be looking at in the offseason along with some samples as far as where to go based on that. As far as sources, I used KFFL for free agent information and CBS Sports for the draft position information.

TE Jordan Reed – TE in DW Mold with better hands. 4th pick taken in the 3rd round gets us 3rd ranked TE.

Rd 6 Pick 186

Rd 7 Pick 218-222
K Caleb Sturgis

Outcome
Offense: We go into next year with a Center for the future to go along with our young O Line. Having Dickson/Cook puts us with someone good if not better than Walker and with Reed and Toilolo we have a pipeline of TEs to build off of for the future. Cobb gives us a replacement for Ginn and at 6-1 215 lbs gives us some added size. Massaquoi gives us some added size as well. The late round WRs start adding some height to our receiving corps as well. Blount is essentially designated to be what we wanted Jacobs to be, and to a degree want Dixon to be, a short yardage bruiser. Michaels adds some size to our RB corps as well.

Defense: We start refilling our DL a bit by pegging Sylvester as our replacement for Soap and Brandon Williams and Dawkins to be DE replacements. Reid gives us a Free Safety of the future. Simon gives us needed depth at OLB.

Special Teams: As noted Cribbs gives us return capabilities and Sturgis is our kicker of the future.
